All state, county, city and other local ‘governments’ are subject to the Constitution(s), which is the “Supreme Law of the Land”. This includes, but is not limited to, the following treaties:
- International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR)
- In particular, Article 1 Section 1: All peoples have the right of self-determination. By virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their econimic, social and cultural development.
- Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)
- International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR)
